Square pails mean the cross section of the pail is square and we can get different volumes by adjusting the height of the pails. The inside length of a side for the square is approximate 234mm. 

5 UK gallon≈22.73 liters

5 US gallon≈18.92 liters

If you need 5 US gallon pail, 20 liter square pail can also be a substitution, considering the close sizes of the two.
