European plate imports will decrease by 8% year-on-year in 2023

It is reported that the main suppliers of EU plate materials in 2023 are South Korea, India, Taiwan, China and Vietnam, with imports decreasing by 8% year-on-year to 20.11 million tons. The main suppliers of EU plates are Asian countries, including 3.1 million tons of Korean plates (a year-on-year increase of 9.3%), 2.73 million tons of Indian plates (a year-on-year increase of 15.5%), and 2.38 million tons of Taiwanese plates (a year-on-year increase of 11.6%).

Türkiye's BMS starts exporting galvanized steel wire to the EU

Turkish galvanized steel wire manufacturer BMS Birlesik Metal announced on February 26 that it has started exporting galvanized and zinc-aluminum coated steel wire to Europe. The company said that wire rod shipments in the European agricultural sector are expected to be approximately 300 tons/month and are expected to have a positive impact on the company's total turnover and profitability.
