SEFA reported that the total number of member companies remained stable, with Germany losing one and the Netherlands increasing by one. No changes were seen in the organizational structure. SEFA reported that packaging demand fell significantly in the first half of 2023, with European metal packaging demand falling by 6%. The average barrel weight of 2022 is 16.38kg, which is significantly lighter than Japanese standards, which has caused concern among European barrel builders about this trend, coupled with the average thickness of 0.9mm.
