Application: unlined steel pail can be used for oil-based paint, lubricating oil, water-free chemical products such as polyurethane etc.

Steel pail lined with water-proof coatings can be used water based paint and other water based products

Food degree tinplate pail should be lined with food grade coating materials.

There are different kinds of coating for lining inside to be chosen, industry grade, food grade, different colors, and different coating materials for different application.

Storage: Keep the pails away from sharp objects. The unlined pail should be stored in environment of low moisture.

Loading into the container for export:

The main material of the steel pails is low carbon sheet steel. Low carbon sheet steel has good plasticity and ductility, it has good performance in barrel or pail making, and has excellent comprehensive protection performance. The biggest disadvantage of steel is that it has poor corrosion resistance and is easy to rust. Surface metal cladding or/and chemical coatings must be used for rust proof.

Tinplate is the most common materials for steel pail because of the good malleability, but in our experience, some clients abroad use chrome plate pail for solid products. The cost of chrome plate is lower than tinplate metal pails but the rust-resisting property is not that good. Pail can be made from different materials according to different usage. And sometimes, the pail of industrial grade, can be assembled with different materials, e.g. tinplate for pail wall and super galum steel sheet for bottom. Super galum steel sheet is good at rust proof but is too hard to be moulded while tinplate is more malleable and it is an ideal material for pail wall. and base steel plate without tinning can also be made to pail after it is lined with coatings. And lining materials of different colors and usages can also be chosen according to customers’ requirement. It is easy to distinguished all the mentioned materials above by eyes. Commonly, steel pails are customized and the choice of material is decided by the application and the customers’ consideration of cost.
