1. Double-Rolled Top Edge for Safer, Stronger Packaging

One of the key features of our metal pail is its double-rolled top edge.

A double-rolled top edge means the top edge of the pail is rolled again after a single-rolling process.

The top rim is an area that is a very important part of sealing. Early metal pails were manufactured using a single-rolling process, and some factories still continue to use this process today.

By using a double-rolled top edge, our metal pails provide:

About safer handling:

With a conventional single rolling process, the steel sheet is folded into the rim, but the original cut edge may remain closer to the outside of the finished edge. If the forming quality is not well controlled, sharp edges or burrs can create a potential handling problem.

Our second rolling process folds the steel further inward, effectively enclosing the cut edge within the rolled structure. This creates a smoother finished rim with no exposed sharp edges and burrs.

This is more than an appearance improvement. It addresses a practical concern that can occur during real-world use.

About Stronger:

The double rolling process creates a more reinforced folded structure around the top edge. This gives the rim greater rigidity than a basic single-rolled edge.

During stacking, loading, unloading, and transportation, the top of a pail can be exposed to pressure and accidental impacts. A stronger rim is less likely to become flattened or distorted under normal handling conditions.

 

About Better Sealing Conditions:

For a metal pail with lid, the seal at the rim must be ensured. The rim is resistant to deformation, allowing the lid gasket to compress evenly and minimize leakage; this makes it easier for the bucket to pass drop and leakage tests. For a metal pail for paint or for chemicals, this is particularly valuable because packaging may be handled several times before reaching the final user.

 

2. Fully Automatic Welding of Handle Lugs

The leak tester works the same for both round and square pails.

Leaks are infrequent in modern automated production. Round pails, in particular, seal more easily than square pails due to their structure. Since we cannot predict which individual pail will develop a leak, it is difficult to capture suitable demonstration‑video footage.
